Memphis Miles for Myeloma is an independent 4 mile run/walk to raise funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and raise awareness of Multiple Myeloma, a rare cancer.
Memphis Miles for Myeloma is thrilled to be joining forces with Start 2 Finish Event Management again in 2014.
Multiple Myeloma is an incurable blood cancer which inflicts more people than you may think and affects the bones and kidneys. The last four Miles for Myeloma walk/runs have brought out many patients with their friends and family, as well as those loved ones who were there in memory of someone they lost to Multiple Myeloma.
Dr. Craig Hofmeister, a myeloma expert from Ohio State University, spoke last September at a MM conference. Dr. Hofmeister said “it’s an exciting time for Multiple Myeloma. The landscape treatment for myeloma is changing – for the better!”
When Jana Stressel, co-founder of Memphis Miles for Myeloma, was diagnosed 5 years ago, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation said they were working on a cure for the next generation. Now, MMRF is working on a cure for those who have MM right now. It’s not that far away, but more research is needed which means more research dollars are needed.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE MULTIPLE MYELOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION SO A CURE CAN BE FOUND NOW!!!
